Senior DevOps-Engineer (m/f/d)

nanocosmos is a self-funded bootstrapped, management-owned company that has been working on video technology since 1998.
Our main office is in Berlin, Germany. Remote work, full-time or part time or contract is a possibility.
Our team of engineers works on integrating live streaming technology into a dynamic, agile, scalable global cloud service with hundreds of hosts and services.
Due to our steady growth in size, we are also growing as a team to handle the tasks at hand. To ensure the best live streaming experience, while increasing growth in the customer sector, we are currently looking for skilled members for our operations team. What to expect:
- You can expect a dynamic and agile team that is looking to implement new development steps in and for the nanoStream Cloud.
- Together with the team, you will work in our engineering teams to create and design new innovations for our cloud product
- Together with the team, you will continue to develop the infrastructure and are willing to constantly educate yourself and improve yourself to face challenges together with the team.
What to contribute:
- Knowledge and Experience in Linux OS and Scripting
- Knowledge in the area of Deployment processes (e.g. Gitlab, Github, Terraform, Ansible).
- Basic knowledge in the area of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience using Monitoring and Alerting (eg Prometheus / Grafana)
- Experience working with the ELK stack.
- Experience working with programming languages (Javascript, Go, Python).
- Experience with Software as a service (SaaS) backends, REST APIs and Databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience working as a team lead of about 5 people
Additional skills:
- Good English. German is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work well in a team both as member and team lead
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
- Agile, iterative development approach: interested in working with an international team and customers within short release cycles
