In line with the ongoing effort to simplify user experience, we’re excited to introduce support for the WHIP protocol, increasing the flexibility and options for our customer to ingest
  • What is WHIP? WHIP stands for WebRTC-HTTP Ingestion Protocol. Think of it as a new, simpler way for live video and audio to be sent over the internet to our streaming platform. It’s based on a set of standards, making it reliable and widely compatible.
  • Ease of Use: WHIP is designed to be as straightforward as familiar protocols like RTMP or SRT, which many streamers already use. This means you can start using it quickly, without needing to learn complex new processes.
  • Versatility and Low Latency: It works well with both traditional media setups and modern, web-based platforms, ensuring your live stream reaches the audience with minimal delay—a crucial factor for live broadcasting.
  • Simplified Requirements: Whether you’re streaming from standard broadcasting hardware or directly from a web browser, WHIP makes it easier. It reduces the technical demands on your equipment, making live streaming more accessible to everyone.
  • Efficient Connection: WHIP uses a simple connection method, avoiding the more complex steps usually required in live streaming setups. This makes setting up your live stream faster and more straightforward.
