NAB Show 2025 Recap

The NAB Show 2025 made one thing clear: while the media world is changing fast, there’s still plenty of room to create more interactive and engaging live experiences. Take iGaming, for example—where sub-second latency and smooth workflows aren’t just nice extras; they’re must-haves. What we’re learning from industries like this can help the entire media space move toward creating experiences that truly connect with audiences.

With that in mind, we are bringing up some key highlights we learned during the show—insights we believe will continue driving the industry forward, uncovering new opportunities and driving interactivity and monetization forward:

AI: From Buzzword to Practical Applications

If last year AI was still just a buzzword, NAB Show 2025 showcased its transition into practical, real-world applications. AI-based captioning and translations was a highlight, offering minimal latency and improved accuracy—critical features for industries like medical education, corporate events, and webcasts. The ability to enhance accessibility while maintaining speed and reliability demonstrates how AI can elevate interactivity and engagement across diverse use cases.

At nanocosmos, we’re exploring these advancements to bring even more value to real-time video experiences. Stay tuned as we continue to innovate and integrate AI-driven solutions to make live streaming even more accessible, interactive, and impactful.

Remote Production: Enabling Efficiency and Interactivity

Remote production continues to reshape the media landscape by lowering costs, increasing flexibility, and enabling new forms of interactivity. By allowing teams to collaborate seamlessly from different locations, remote workflows are reducing overhead while delivering high-quality, real-time content. This has made live events, hybrid productions, and even smaller-scale projects more accessible and scalable. The ability to integrate audience participation in real-time adds a new dimension of engagement that was previously challenging to achieve.

Immersive Real-Time Video, Simplified

Many content providers still struggle to deliver seamless real-time video experiences. The challenges often come from the complexities of building and managing their own infrastructure, which requires a lot of expertise, maintenance, and investment. With real-time applications growing in popularity, businesses need solutions that are easy to use, so they can stay focused on what they do best instead of worrying about technical roadblocks.

That’s why we created the nanoStream Ready program, which we proudly showcased at the NAB Show. This program takes the hassle out of real-time video delivery by offering a pre-certified ecosystem of tools and technologies that work perfectly with nanoStream. With a setup that’s already tested and validated, content providers can enjoy better reliability, scalability, and performance—and get to market much faster.

But nanoStream Ready is more than just a certification—it’s a partnership. We’re working with trusted providers of encoding solutions, cameras, and live production tools to build a streamlined workflow. This means everything integrates seamlessly, whether you’re powering gaming, live auctions, hybrid events, or something entirely new.

As more partners join the nanoStream Ready ecosystem, it keeps getting better—boosting compatibility, reliability, and scalability for all kinds of real-time applications. With these tools in hand, content providers can confidently deliver ultra-low latency, interactive experiences while staying focused on what matters most: creating value for their audiences.

The Power of Partnership

At NAB 2025, we had the chance to spend some time with our trusted partners like Osprey Video, Teradek, Matrox, and BirdDog. Together, we’re working to enable workflows, to drive innovation in the industry.

Lessons we have learned help guide the broader media world toward more engaging and interactive experiences at the show, from our trusted partners:

  • Osprey Video shared their approach to seamless, low-latency streaming, emphasizing “ease of use and out-of-the-box functionality.” By integrating with nanoStream, Osprey’s platform enables customers to go live in minutes—immediate, simple, and effective.
  • Teradek showcased their Jet Pack bonded cellular backpack, a portable, field-production powerhouse with sub-200ms latency and built-in program return. It’s perfect for remote shoots, delivering the same high-quality streaming on the go.
  • BirdDog introduced BirdDog Connect, a tool designed to connect remote cameras, control surfaces, and post-production teams. This pushes NDI and SRT to new heights, creating more efficient and scalable distributed workflows.

From encoders to interactivity platforms, we continue to grow as we are adding more categories and tools to meet the evolving needs of real-time streaming. And it’s not just about new partners; it’s about growing together, continuously innovating to meet the demands of the interactive media world.

Osprey Video made a comment that stuck with us: “When you’re building hardware for real-time video delivery, ease of use and out-of-the-box functionality are everything. That’s why being platform agnostic and working closely with key partners like nanocosmos is so important to us.
