nanoStream Analytics Dashboard 2.27

Release Notes

The latest nanoStream Analytics update comes with a lot of improvements regarding our stream health monitoring system. We enhanced the overall detection algorithms to ensure that any anomaly within your streaming landscape can be observed transparently.

This also affects the way alerts are now presented in either the Analytics Dashboard [AD] or API. We added multiple insights to alerts, most importantly the connection details, which can be indicators of where and how frequent ingest connections took place. Therefore, we also partially improved how alert data is displayed within our graphs, while applying additional bug fixes to our UI.

Providing additional possibilities to request SPRS (Successful Playback Start Ratio) information allows a more practical approach to identifying issues of stream playbacks faster and more reliable.

Regarding user experience, we decided to make the authentication process less tedious and more secure at the same time.

Changelog

🚀 NEW

  • New details country name and connection ID are available for alerts
  • New performance intervals were added to the graph for Stream Time Ratio alerts, supporting issues with ratios constantly above 1

✏️ IMPROVED

Adjustments to Troubleshooting/Alerting Section

  • Fixed an issue when switching between a Stream Time Ratio alert and a Continuous Restart alert, and no data was shown in the charts
  • General ingest stream information in the alert table now supports multiple ingest connection details to provide more insights of stream behavior
  • Improved Stream Time Ratio graph annotations, which now indicate whether the alert ended due to stream termination or stream recovery

Improvements regarding Login process

  • Users do not need to re-authenticate via login credentials each time the Analytics Dashboard tab is closed anymore
    • e.g.: opening the Analytics Dashboard within a new tab while authentication took place recently, no extra manual login is required
