What is IMX?
IMX is a video format for digital studios. It is also known as SMPTE D-10. The video compression of IMX is a MPEG-2 "elementary video" stream (m2v). There are only full frames coded (I-Frames), no motion estimation is applied.IMX video files are sometimes packed into Quicktime MOV files or the MXF file format.
