nanocosmos, the video coding experts, successfully equipped the Berlin International Film Festival 2012 (Berlinale) and the European Film Market with their improved video coding and playout software.

Based on the Berlinale 2011 setup, improved software for video playout and additional tools for quality assurance and video verification were installed.

More than 500 movies have been encoded and encrypted with nanocosmos software, shown in more than 30 cinemas in Berlin.

A performance upgrade to Live Video Encoder Toolkit is available, based on graphics hardware (GPU) accelerated video encoding.

The Live Video Encoder allows simple integration of Live Encoding and Streaming into custom applications. With the flexible API for Web Applications with Javascript or Desktop Applications with ActiveX, a custom encoding application is created in minutes.

The new hardware accelerated encoder based on Intel QuickSync / SandyBridge technology provides full HD encoding with low CPU load on Intel QuickSync & HD Graphics based plaforms. Most modern Intel CPUs based on Core i3, i5 and i7 support this architecture.
